The POLYGON ACT Mid Layer achieves excellent moisture processing performance and warmth, making it ideal for the severe winter months.
This jacket keeps you dry even when you sweat a lot during strenuous ascents and other activities, via efficient sweat-wicking, diffusion, and evaporation throughout the entire garment's lining, insulation, and outer fabric. Three-ply sheets of the ”FINEPOLYGON”, Finetrack's innovative 3D thermal insulation material, are filled in for warmth.

After 0.6ml of water was applied, the residual moisture weight was measured over time, with the time it took to drop below 10% as benchmark. Finetrack®'s Mid Layer series drops to 10% moisture content significantly faster than other Mid Layers with comparable warmth retention. In the wearer, this contributes to a dry feeling that lasts longer while reducing the chill that comes from moisture accumulation.

Finetrack® researchers devised a method of artificially creating a resting state from a state of perspiration immediately after exercise, and measured humidity over time between a heating plate that mimics skin and the Mid Layer fabric. The initial humidity in the garment was adjusted to 53%, and the humidity regulation was graphed to reflect the transition from sweaty exertion to a resting state.Results demonstrated that the POLYGON 2UL Mid Layer rapidly declined from a high-humidity state to the initial in-clothing humidity baseline, approximately 30 minutes faster than a typical down jacket.
