The ultra-lightweight and durable KAMINA MONOPOLE 2, a compact two-person monopole tent weighing only 870g (minimum freestanding weight), offers wind and weather resistance for all seasons while providing a comfortable living space. (*For severe winter mountain conditions, we recommend using the Kamina Dome, which offers better heat retention.)
This non-freestanding, single-wall tent with front leg room can be set up with a minimum of 2 stakes.
We carefully selected the highest quality, made-in-Japan, strong nylon ripstop fabric that can offer top-rated strength for all seasons while remaining both ultra-lightweight and astonishingly compact.
In addition to the high quality fabric, the "Tension Sling System," our patented manufacturing method, is applied by sewing the ultra-high-strength polyethylene fiber IZANAS into the edges where tension is tightest.
This improves the strength of the main canopy, making it strong and durable despite its lightweight fabric.
The diagonal arrangement of a single pole minimizes dead space, and the interior space is comparable to that of a cross-pole type tent.
As an ultra-lightweight tent weighing less than 1 kg, KAMINA MONOPOLE 2 offers the best of both tent and zelt (Bivy Shelter).
